Philippines to aid Pinoy in Kuwaiti child’s killing

MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine government is extending assistance to a Filipino domestic helper allegedly involved in the murder of her employer’s child.

“We humbly provide the assurance that this tragic incident is isolated and does not represent the values of Filipinos and overseas Filipino workers who are known for their caring nature, professionalism, dedication and hard work,” the Department of Migrant Workers said yesterday.

The DMW is coordinating with Kuwaiti authorities concerning the incident.

Based on news reports, the Filipino worker confessed that she placed the child inside a washing machine out of frustration.
