MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court (SC) announced on Friday, December 13, that 3,962 out of 10,490 examinees passed the 2024 Bar, resulting in a passing rate of 37.84%.
Kyle Christian Tutor, a graduate of the University of the Philippines, topped the Bar exams. Tutor obtained a grade of 85.77%.

This year's passing rate is higher than last year's 33.77% with 3,812 out of 10,387 passing the examinations.
Of the 142 law schools that participated in the 2024 Bar Examinations, 130 produced successful examinees.

The third digitalized Bar examinations were held on September 8, 11 and 15 in 13 testing centers across the country.
The exams started with 10,504 examinees on the first day, but two backed out by the afternoon. The number dropped to 10,493 on the second day and 10,490 by the final day.
This year’s examinations covered the following six core subjects: Political and Public International Law (15%); Commercial and Taxation Laws (20%); Civil Law (20%); Labor Law and Social Legislation (10%); Criminal Law (10%); and Remedial Law, Legal and Judicial Ethics with Practical Exercises (25%). — Ian Laqui and Kristine Daguno-Bersamina
