MANILA, Philippines — The Feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary will still be observed on Dec. 8, which falls on a Sunday this year.
In a text message, the Office of the Executive Secretary said there is no plan to move the observance of the religious holiday to another day.
Immaculate Conception is a Catholic dogma stating that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was conceived without original sin.
Republic Act 10966 enacted in 2017 declared the feast a special non-working holiday.
