MANILA, Philippines — A majority of Filipinos remain satisfied with the performance of both houses of Congress and the Supreme Court, with the Senate obtaining the highest satisfaction rating among the three institutions, a recent survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed.

Despite a stable satisfaction rating, the survey conducted from June 23 to July 1 found that respondents dissatisfied with the Senate also grew at 16 percent, when compared to the 10 percent who said they were dissatisfied in a March 2024 survey.

In the recent survey, 66 percent said they were satisfied with the Senate, which saw a change in leadership in May.

This rating is similar to the one obtained in a March 2024 survey. Sixteen percent said they were dissatisfied, up from
the previous survey’s 10 percent.

Those who were undecided dropped from 22 percent to 16 percent.

This resulted in a net satisfaction rating of +50, classified by SWS as “very good.” It was down from “very good” +55 that the Senate obtained in March.

The House of Representatives obtained a net satisfaction rating of “good” +41, composed of 60 percent who said they were satisfied and 18 percent who were dissatisfied.

It went down from the “good” +45 (57 percent satisfied, 13 percent dissatisfied) that the lower chamber obtained in March. Those who were undecided with down from 27 percent to 20 percent.

The SC also obtained a net satisfaction rating of “good” +41 (59 percent satisfied, 18 percent dissatisfied, 20 percent undecided), down from “good” +46 (58 percent satisfied, 12 percent dissatisfied, 28 percent undecided) in March.
