Marcos names new envoys, government officials

MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos has named new envoys and officials in different government agencies, Malacañang announced yesterday.

Among the new appointees were Daniel Espiritu who was designated as ambassador to Ireland and Amable Aguiluz V who was named special envoy of the President to Japan for trade and investments.

The President also named Richelieu Raymund Remandaban as assistant director general of the National Security Council.

Also appointed were Agnes Tolentino as assistant secretary of the National Economic and Development Authority and Marie France Tiatco as assistant secretary of the Department of Transportation.

Marcos also named Luis Carlos as postmaster general, chief executive officer and member of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Postal Corporation.

Markus Lacanilao was appointed as special envoy on transnational crime, while Anthony Alcantara was appointed executive director of the Philippine Center on Transnational Crime.

The President also named John de Leon as executive director of the Philippine Rice Research Institute.

The names of the new appointees were released by the Presidential Communications Office on Facebook.
