MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos yesterday urged members of the religious group Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) to become instruments of change and to strengthen their love for God and for their fellow men as they celebrated their 110th anniversary.
In a statement, Marcos said the occasion proves the INC members’ love for God, resilience and dedication.
He called on the group’s members to continue becoming an inspiration not just to their communities but for the entire country as he praised them for what he described as their “tireless” acts of service that reflect unity and progress.
“I encourage all of you to further strengthen your faith and your love for God and for other people. Let us continue to pray and to work for a future that is full of hope, prosperity and peace for Filipinos and the entire humanity,” Marcos said in Filipino.
“May we become instruments of change in our society and let us achieve a new Philippines that will benefit everyone. Let us live in the light of love and unity,” he added.
The INC endorsed Marcos and his running mate Vice President Sara Duterte during the 2022 polls.
