MANILA, Philippines — Baguio City’s bet Krishnah Marie Gravidez bagged the Miss World Philippines 2024 title during the pageant’s coronation night held Friday at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
She will represent the country at the 72nd edition of the international beauty pageant.
Gravidez, a youth advocate and beauty queen, bested 32 contestants who participated in the competition. She was crowned by former winner Gwendolyne Fourniol.
Jasmine Omay of Tarlac and Sophia Bianca Santos of Pampanga were declared First Princess and Second Princess, respectively.
During the question and answer segment, Gravidez was asked, “Should inclusivity be our top priority among pageants? Yes or no? Explain your answer.”
She replied, “Pageantry is a platform where we express ourselves as women and then and I feel like this is a great platform for us to promote our advocacies, the causes that we’re fighting for and the things that we love. So I think that in a world we’re evolving, I think we as humans, should evolve too. Thank you.”
Gravidez earlier joined the Miss Universe Philippines 2023 pageant where she placed among the Top 5 finalists and was appointed as Philippines’ representative to the Miss Charm 2024. But she withdrew from the competition.
It was later announced that she will participate in Miss World Philippines.
