President Marcos appoints new head of PTV

MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos has named Antonio Baltazar Nebrida Jr. as the new head of the state-run People’s Television Network (PTV).

The Presidential Communications Office announced Nebrida’s appointment as acting general manager of PTV on its official Facebook page on Friday.

Nebrida replaced veteran broadcast journalist Ana Puod.

Nebrida will also serve as a member of the board of directors of PTV, representing the private sector.

The President reportedly signed the appointment paper of Nebrida on June 10.

Prior to his new post, Nebrida served as spokesperson for the Department of Migrant Workers.
