Marcos appoints former RTC judge as new PCSO chair

MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos has named retired Marikina Regional Trial Court (RTC) judge Felix Reyes as chairman of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).

Reyes, 63, took his oath of office before Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on May 28, the Presidential Communications Office said on Tuesday. Reyes replaced Junie Cua.

Reyes was the former president of the Philippine Judges Association. He took Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at the Far Eastern University from 1977 to 1981 and his law degree at the University of the East from 1982 to 1986.

Before his appointment, Reyes served as acting member of the PCSO Board of Directors from November 2022 to present.
He also served as the acting presiding judge of the Taguig RTC Branch 70 from 2017 to 2019; RTC, Lipa City from February 2011 to September 2021 and RTC, Calamba City from 2011 to 2013. — Rainier Allan Ronda
