MANILA, Philippines — At least nineteen vehicles were engulfed in flames at the parking area extension of Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City on Monday.
Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Eric Ines said that the fire quickly spread due to the wind and dry grass.
The MIAA rescue and firefighting division said that the fire was extinguished at 1:57 p.m.
Reports, citing Ines, said that there were no casualties or a persons injured from the incident.
Airport operations, meanwhile, remain normal as the incident was far from the terminal itself, according to Ines.
As of writing the MIAA is still investigating the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage.
This is a developing story.
