Liza posts photo with President Marcos amid rift with Vice President Sara

MANILA, Philippines — Days after causing political shockwaves by revealing her sentiments against Vice President Sara Duterte, First Lady Liza Marcos shared a photo of her and President Marcos in La Union.

“Spending quality time in celebration of our 31st wedding anniversary,” the caption read.

The photo posted yesterday on Facebook showed the Marcoses embracing, garnering thousands of reactions, comments and shares.

The President and the First Lady married on April 17, 1993.

On April 19, broadcaster Anthony Taberna uploaded an interview with the First Lady, wherein she admitted that she now has a negative view of Duterte.

According to Liza, she was hurt when Sara, the President’s running mate during the 2022 elections, laughed after her husband was labeled “bangag” or a drug addict during a rally in Davao City.
