On love month, President Marcos urges Pinoys to love self
MANILA, Philippines — As Filipinos mark the month of love this February, President Marcos reminded them to practice self-love and look after their own health.
“The new Filipino gives more value to his health. So in this month of hearts, let’s celebrate self-love,” the President said in a video message posted on his official Instagram account yesterday.
In the short video, the 66-year-old Marcos was seen working out in a gym wearing a pair of white sneakers, blue and black shorts and a white shirt bearing the Bagong Pilipinas logo. Bagong Pilipinas is Marcos’ brand of governance.
Marcos also urged those who are single or loveless to value their worth.
“Let’s take care of our hearts because no one else will do so but you, especially if you are single,” he said.
The video also showed a photo collage of celebrity couples who recently broke up, including Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla known by fans as “KathNiel,” Kim Chiu and Xian Lim, and Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque.
On Thursday, Marcos announced he and First Lady Liza Marcos would soon answer questions from the public via Instagram Story Questions in line with the celebration of the month of love.
“Ask us anything. We might answer in the next vlog,” Marcos’ Instagram post said, accompanied by a photo of him kissing the First Lady on the forehead.
