MANILA, Philippines — Interested parties have more time to submit bids for the online voting and counting system (OVCS) to be used in the May 2025 elections, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
The submission, receipt and opening of bids have been reset from Feb. 8 to Feb 20.
The rescheduling would give prospective bidders “ample time to prepare their bids due to the magnitude and numerous requirements of the project,” the poll body said.
Only one bidder – SMS Global Technologies – bought bid documents for OVCS for overseas voting in the 2025 midterm elections.
The approved budget for the OVCS contract is P465.8 million.
Bids must be submitted to the Special Bids and Awards Committee office in Intramuros. Opening of bids will be held at the Palacio del Gobernador.
