MANILA, Philippines — German Federal Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock will arrive in the country today to meet with President Marcos and Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo.
Baerbock’s visit is part of her official travel to the Middle East and Southeast Asia.
She will also visit the offices of the Philippine Coast Guard and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
Baerbock’s trip will mark the first visit by a German federal foreign minister to the Philippines in over a decade and will usher in the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Germany this year.
She leaves Manila tomorrow. – Alexis Romero
