MANILA, Philippines — President Marcos has recovered from COVID-19 and will end his five-day mandatory isolation period today, Malacañang said.

The President is now free from cough, nasal congestion and fever for more than 24 hours, the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) said in a statement yesterday.

“All other medical findings were unremarkable. Consequently, the President’s final diagnosis is Covid-19, Recovered,” the PCO said.

Throughout the entire home isolation period, the President was closely monitored by medical professionals, the agency added.

According to the PCO, the President was advised by his doctor to continue wearing face mask for 10 days during his public engagements as a precaution.

This was the third time that Marcos, 66, tested positive for the disease.

Marcos previously tested positive for COVID-19 in July 2022 and in March 2020. He received his second COVID-19 booster dose in August 2022.
