MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine embassy in Israel announced the opening of the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) – Tel Aviv and the arrival of Vichael Angelo Roaring, who will serve as its commercial counselor.
As an overseas office of the Department of Trade and Industry attached to the embassy, PTIC Tel Aviv will promote the export of Philippine products and services in Israel and facilitate the entry of Israeli investments in the Philippines.
“The opening of PTIC Tel Aviv marks another milestone in Philippines-Israel trade relations. More than being a representation of our increasing bilateral trade, this also manifests our eagerness to bring in more high-quality Philippine products for the enjoyment of Israeli consumers, as well as our resolve to entice Israeli firms and startups to pursue exciting investment opportunities in our country,” Ambassador to Israel Pedro Laylo Jr. said.
PTIC Tel Aviv will also foster bilateral economic cooperation, connect Filipino and Israeli firms, and promote innovation and technology exchange.
It will also provide essential insights and guidance on market access, legislation concerning trade, and consumer preferences.
As a service to overseas Filipinos, PTIC will also equip Filipinos in the Holy Land with financial literacy and investing know-how to empower them to become entrepreneurs when they return to the Philippines.
