Bong Go supports Sara’s 2024 budget
MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Bong Go expressed full support for Vice President Sara Duterte’s proposed 2024 budget amounting to P2.4 billion after the Senate committee on finance approved the budget on Sept. 4.
“The (Office of the Vice President) advocates for and puts into action initiatives tailored to address the needs of the Filipino people,” Go said.
“I know that the OVP’s programs will help Filipinos, especially the poor,” he added.
The budget deliberation on the OVP’s 2024 budget was swiftly terminated on Aug. 30 by the House appropriations committee, effectively blocking questions from minority legislators.
“I have trusted Vice President Sara Duterte since the start of her term,” Go noted.
Among the OVP programs that Go supports are the medical and burial assistance.
