MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine government is not yet done with its rebranding schemes as the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) announced on Monday a logo design contest.

The Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor) recently launched rebranding campaigns that have drawn flak from the public and sparked calls for congressional investigations. The contracts for these rebranding strategies are worth millions.

TESDA declined to comment on the budget allocation for the contest.

The winner of TESDA’s logo design contest will win P10,000 and a certificate of recognition.

“The logo shall be conceptualized and designed using the agency’s new TESDA slogan, ‘Lingap ay Maasahan’,” TESDA said in a Facebook post.

The DOT’s contracted ad agency had won a P49.92-million contract before their services were terminated on July 3, while Pagcor spent P3 million for its new logo.
