MANILA, Philippines — The employer of an overseas Filipino worker whose body was found at the Tsing Yi Public Pier in Hong Kong on July 13 is not a person of interest in the OFW’s death.
“As far as we know, the employer is not a person of interest in this case,” Department of Foreign Affairs Assistant Secretary Paul Cortes said yesterday in an interview on ANC.
The Philippine consulate general in Hong Kong and the Hong Kong police confirmed that the household helper’s body was found trapped in a waterway.
The cause of death is unknown.
