MANILA, Philippines — YouTube’s parent company Google on July 7 confirmed that other channels affiliated with religious leader Apollo Quiboloy have been terminated.

Aside from Quiboloy’s YouTube channel, which was removed last month, also taken down were the channels of Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI), the Laban Kasama ang Bayan program and the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) church.

“Google is committed to compliance with applicable US sanctions laws and enforces related policies under its Terms of Service. After review and consistent with these policies, we terminated the Laban Kasama ang Bayan, KOJC & SMNI YouTube channels,” a YouTube spokesman said in a statement sent to The STAR.

Quiboloy is on the most wanted list of the US Federal Bureau of Investigation over numerous charges related to sex and labor trafficking.

Last year, the US Treasury imposed sanctions on him under its Global Magnitsky Human Rights Accountability Act.

The sanction blocked all his properties and interests in property that are in the US or in the possession or control of individuals in the US.

It also prohibited US persons from “making any contribution or provision of funds, goods or services by, to or for the benefit of any designated person, or the receipt of any contribution or provision of funds, goods or services from any such person.”

Google is a multinational technology company based in the US.

Quiboloy, who has denied the allegations against him, regularly appeared on videos uploaded by SMNI and KOJC before the channels were taken down. He was also a regular guest at the Laban Kasama ang Bayan, co-hosted by former anti-insurgency task force member Lorraine Badoy.

He earlier shrugged off the removal of his YouTube channel, claiming that he is “bulletproof.”

SMNI has yet to issue a statement on the removal of its YouTube channel. Aside from Facebook, its videos are now uploaded at online video platform Rumble.

Earlier this week, TikTok also removed Quiboloy’s page in accordance with its community guidelines. SMNI’s page was still on the short video platform as of yesterday afternoon.
