MANILA, Philippines — Pastor Apollo Quibuloy is unperturbed by the recent termination of his YouTube channel, claiming that this persecution by the United States is nothing new to him.
“Nothing new, pareho pa rin mga issues (it’s the same issues),” Quibuloy said in an interview on SMNI.
The religious leader also dared his detractors to continue with their attacks on him.
“To those who are attacking me and those who want to attack me, to all of you, even America, you all are now meddling, I dare you to reveal everything you have against me,” he said in Filipino, claiming he is “bulletproof.”
“I want to let you know, I am bulletproof. I am not affected by anything you do against me,” he said.
“You think I will cower and that my companions here will shy away from telling the truth. You are just emboldening us. It’s like pouring gasoline over our feelings and setting it ablaze because we see that what we are carrying is the truth and the Philippines is waking up,” the self-described appointed son of God said.
The YouTube channel of Quiboloy, which has 40,000 subscribers, was terminated after a content creator flagged YouTube’s support team on Twitter, saying that Quiboloy is able to run a channel on the platform despite an existing warrant for his arrest from the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
“Upon review, we’ve determined that the channel is in violation of Community Guidelines & has been terminated,” YouTube’s support team tweeted in response.
