MANILA, Philippines — A fisherman from Cebu received a standing ovation from America’s Got Talent judges after performing for his audition Michael Bolton’s When a Man Loves a Woman.

The recent episode of AGT’s season 18 showed Rolando “Bunot” Abante getting emotional as judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum and Sofía Vergara praised him.

“I have a feeling you’re gonna have to stop fishing. This is where you needed to be,” said Vergara.

The four judges voted “yes,” and Abante will advance to the next round of the competition.
