Palace names new execs in AFP, DPWH, PSC
MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang announced yesterday new appointments in the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), public works, trade and labor departments and the military.
In a Facebook post, the Presidential Communications Office said Matthew Gaston has been named commissioner of the PSC.
Gaston is a former commissioner of the Games and Amusement Board and a retired Philippine Basketball Association player.
President Marcos has also appointed Antonio Molano Jr. as public works undersecretary and Ann Claire Cabochan as deputy director general of the Intellectual Property Office, which is attached to the trade department.
Also appointed was Emmanuel Partido, now a labor sector representative at the Tripartite Voluntary Arbitration Advisory Council, which is attached to the National Conciliation and Mediation Board under the labor department.
Military officials who were given new posts are Brig. Gen. Rey Alemania (deputy chief of staff for logistics), Brig. Gen. Ferdinand Barandon (deputy chief of staff for intelligence), Brig. Gen. Krishnamurti Mortela (assistant deputy chief of staff for education, training and doctrine), Brig. Gen. Leonardo Peña (assistant division commander of the 3rd Infantry Division), Brig. Gen. Jose Augusto Villareal (assistant commander of the 2nd Infantry Division);
Col. Taharudin Ampatuan (assistant commander of the 11th Infantry Division), Col. Dennis Pacis (assistant commander of the 7th Infantry Division), Col. Andre Santos (commander of the 1st Mechanized Infantry Brigade), Col. Christopher Tampus (commander of the 1103rd Infantry Brigade), Brig. Gen. Antonio Francisco (commander of the 710th Special Operations Wing), Brig. Gen. Rommel Roldan (deputy chief of staff for personnel), Brig. Gen. Reynold Rueca (commander of the 410th Maintenance Wing), Capt. Edward Ike de Sagon (commander of the Philippine Fleet Offshore Combat Force) and Capt. Dwight Steven Dulnoan (commander of the Naval Special Operations Command).
