MANILA, Philippines — Consumers will see lower cooking gas prices this month following hefty increases in February.

Petron and Phoenix liquefied petroleum gas started implementing yesterday a P3.50-per-kilogram reduction in LPG prices.

Their AutoLPG prices are likewise down by P1.95 per liter.

“These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of March,” Petron said.

Meanwhile, Solane-branded LPG prices are lower by P3.45 per kg this month.

Prices of 11-kg household LPG ranged from P929 to P1,120, based on the Department of Energy’s price monitoring in the National Capital Region from Feb. 2 to 8.

Last month, LPG prices saw a significant increase following a rollback in January.

Petron and Phoenix LPG both implemented an P11.20-per-kg increase, while Solane-branded LPG raised prices by P11.18 per kg.
