MANILA, Philippines — A mixed movement in fuel prices is being implemented today, with gasoline and kerosene prices up and diesel prices down.

In separate advisories yesterday, oil companies said they would increase gasoline and kerosene prices by P0.95 per liter and P0.50 per liter, respectively.

Diesel prices, meanwhile, will be reduced by P0.20 per liter.

The adjustments will take effect at 6 a.m. today for most companies, except for Caltex which implemented the adjustments at 12:01 a.m. and Cleanfuel which will implement it at 4:01 p.m.

This week’s price adjustments reflect the movement in the international oil market.

Last Tuesday, the eight consecutive weeks of rollbacks in diesel prices and four straight weeks of decline in gasoline prices came to an end as oil companies hiked prices by P2.90 per liter for diesel, P0.70 per liter for gasoline and P1.65 per liter for kerosene.

These resulted in year-to-date net increase of P13.95 per liter for gasoline, P27.50 per liter for diesel and P20.80 per liter for kerosene, data from the Department of Energy showed.
