MANILA, Philippines — The Supreme Court announced Monday several road closures for the 2022 Bar examinations scheduled this month.

This year's Bar exams will push through as scheduled despite some appeals for the test to be postponed due to the devastation caused by Severe Tropical Storm Paeng (international name: Nalgae).

The 2022 Bar exams will again be held digitally and in 14 local testing centers — five of which are in Metro Manila — across the country.

The public is advised of the following road closures and other relevant traffic advisory on November 9, 13, 16 and 20:

De La Salle University of Manila, Taft

  • Estrada Street (Taft south bound) to Quirino Street (Taft) will be closed from 2 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Estrada Street (Taft north bound) to Quirino Street (Taft) will be closed from 2 a.m. to 8 a.m. and from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Fidel corner Noli Street (back portion of DLSU) will be closed from 2 a.m. to 7 p.m.

San Beda University

  • Concepcion Aguila Street and Mendiola Street (from C.M. Recto intersection to Concepcion Aguila Street)

Manila Adventist College

  • Corner of San Juan Street and Donada Street until Leveriza Street will be closed from 3 a.m. to 7 p.m.

University of the Philippines, BGC

  • None; expect increased volume of traffic

Ateneo De Manila University, Katipunan

  • None; expect increased volume of traffic

Saint Louis University, Baguio City

  • None; expect increased volume of traffic

University of Nueva Caceres, Naga City

  • J. Hernandez Avenue (in front of UNC), P. Burgos Street, Bayawas Street, and Gen. Luna Street

De La Salle University (Lipa Campus) – Lipa City

  • One lane beside DLSL along JP Laurel National Hiway will be partially closed from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. to facilitate the drop off and pick up of examinees at the main entrance of DLSL.
  • One lane beside DLSL along Calle Arzobispado will be partially closed from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Traffic rerouting on November 20, 2022: From 4 p.m to 7 p.m., all vehicles coming from Mataas na Lupa should turn left to San Carlos-Tibig Road going to City Proper

University of San Carlos, Cebu City

  • Pelaez Street and Sanciangco Street

University of Cebu (Banilad Campus), Cebu City

  • One lane of the north bound road in front of UC Banilad will be closed from 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Dr. V. Orestes Romualdez Educational Foundation, Tacloban City

  • Calanipawan Road will be closed from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on November 20, 2022 only

Ateneo de Zamboanga University, Zamboanga City

  • Gov. Alvarez Street (two lanes), La Purisima Street (two lanes), and Nunez Street (one lane, beside ADZU) will be closed from 4 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Xavier University, Cagayan de Oro City

  • Hayes Street will be closed starting 6 a.m. on the day before the exams, i.e., November 8, 12, 15, and 19, 2022.
  • On November 9, 13, 16 and 20, additional roads in front of Corrales Avenue will also be closed.

Ateneo de Davao University, Davao City

  • None; expect increased volume of traffic
