MANILA, Philippines — Cooking gas prices are up this November, ending six consecutive months of reductions.

Petron yesterday implemented an increase of P3.50 per kilogram in liquefied petroleum gas prices. Its AutoLPG prices were likewise raised by P1.96 per liter.

“These reflect the international contract price of LPG for the month of November,” Petron said.

Phoenix LPG Phils. Inc. has also hiked prices of Phoenix Super LPG by P3.50 per kg. The price of its AutoLPG, on the other hand, was increased by P1.95 per liter.

The price adjustments of Petron and Phoenix took effect at 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., respectively, last night.

Solane-branded LPG, meanwhile, is raising prices by P3.55 per kg., VAT exclusive, effective 6 a.m. today.

A price freeze, however, will be implemented in areas under state of calamity, according to the LPG retailers.

During the price freeze, rollback of prices will be implemented, while price increases are strictly prohibited within a 15-day period.

Prices of 11-kg household LPG ranged from P797 to P1,000 based on the Department of Energy’s price monitoring in the National Capital Region from Oct. 3 to 12.
