Website picks inasal among world’s best chicken dishes

MANILA, Philippines — A travel website has named the Philippines’ inasal na manok (char-grilled chicken) as the fifth best chicken dish in the world.

The TasteAtlas named the country’s popular dish the fifth best worldwide after it garnered a rating of 4.6, good for fifth out of the 50 dishes included in the list.

It added that the score was based on ratings given by its audiences.

Peru’s pollo a la brasa led the list, followed by India’s butter chicken and tikka, and Iran’s jujeh kabab.

TasteAtlas, earlier in the year, named lumpiang shanghai as one of the world’s best street food, as well as five varieties of Filipino pancit as among the best noodle dishes in the world.
