PAGASA monitoring LPA off Bicol
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) is monitoring a low-pressure area off the shores of Bicol that will bring rains over parts of Eastern Luzon and the Visayas.
PAGASA said the low-pressure area was monitored 135 kilometers east of Virac, Catanduanes as of 3 p.m. yesterday.
The weather system is expected to bring scattered rainshowers over the Bicol region, Eastern Visayas and Quezon province.
Meanwhile, the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) is affecting Mindanao.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country may see isolated rains due to the ITCZ and localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods and landslides during at times heavy rains.
Temperature in Metro Manila is expected to range between 24 to 33 degrees Celsius today.
