MANILA, Philippines — It will be up to president-elect Ferdinand Marcos Jr. if the “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” slogan of the Department of Tourism (DOT) will be continued under his administration, incoming tourism secretary Christina Frasco said yesterday.

In an interview early this week, Frasco lauded the current DOT leadership for setting the proposals and plans for continuity.

“All of these plans and programs, including branding, will be presented to the president-elect as he would be the one to set the vision for our country on all aspects, including tourism,” Frasco said.

“It’s More Fun in the Philippines” has been the slogan of the DOT in the past few years.

Frasco earlier said Marcos was pushing for the improvement of the overall tourist experience.

The tourism industry has been hit hard by the COVID pandemic.
