MANILA, Philippines — Manila Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna has been proclaimed the next mayor of the nation's capital after winning the elections for city hall.

According to the Comelec's Transparency Server, Lacuna received 534,565 votes.

Lacuna will be taking over the duties of first-termer Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso, who ran for president but who has placed fourth in the partial, unofficial Comelec tally. Moreno has conceded the race and has wished Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., presumptive president-elect, well.

Lacuna beat other candidates vying for mayor including Partido Federal ng Pilipinas bet Alex Lopez, who received 165,551 votes.

Meanwhile, Rep. John Marvin "Yul Servo" Nieto (Manila, 3rd District) was also elected vice mayor with 582,941 votes. Raymond Bagatsing of Kilusang Bagong Lipunan placed second with 183,684 votes.

There are more than 1.13 million voters registered in Manila, latest data from the Commission on Elections (Comelec) showed.
