Tulfo tops OCTA Senate survey

MANILA, Philippines — Broadcast journalist Raffy Tulfo again topped the OCTA Research Group’s latest senatorial preference survey with a voter preference score of 68 percent.

Trailing him at second and third spots are former public works secretary Mark Villar with 59 percent and former senator and now Antique lawmaker Loren Legarda with 56 percent.

In fourth, fifth and sixth place are Senator Juan Miguel Zubiri with 54 percent, former senator and current Sorsogon Governor Chiz Escudero with 50 percent and former senator Alan Peter Cayetano with 48 percent.

In seventh place is actor Robin Padilla with 44 percent followed by former vice president Jejomar Binay with 42 percent, former senator Jinggoy Estrada with 42 percent and Senator Joel Villanueva with 41 percent.

Completing the Top 12 based on the survey conducted from April 2 to 6 are Senator Win Gatchalian who got 39 percent and former senator JV Ejercito with 36 percent.

Not so far behind at 13th to 15th place are Senator Risa Hontiveros with 33 percent, former Quezon City mayor Herbert Bautista with 28 percent and former presidential spokesman Harry Roque with 25 percent.

Trailing at 16th to 20th spots are former Philippine National Police chief Guillermo Eleazar with 24 percent, former senator Gringo Honasan with 24 percent, former senator Antonio Trillanes IV with 22 percent, Senator Richard Gordon with 20 percent and former defense secretary Gilbert Teodoro also with 20 percent.

Completing the Top 24 are lawyer Larry Gadon with 17 percent, Chel Diokno with 15 percent, Alex Lacson with 13 percent and detained Senator Leila de Lima with 13 percent.
