Robredo rating down, Sotto up – SWS
MANILA, Philippines — The number of Filipinos satisfied with the performance of Vice President Leni Robredo has significantly dropped, according to the full report of a Social Weather Stations’ survey on the satisfaction ratings of top government officials for the last quarter of 2021, which was released Friday night.
The Dec. 12-16 survey, the partial results of which was presented in an online forum last month, showed that only 41 percent of the respondents said they are satisfied with the performance of Robredo, who is running for president in the May 9 elections. The figure is down 10 points from the 51 percent in a similar survey conducted in September last year.
Those who were dissatisfied with her increased from 27 percent to 40 percent, while the undecided dropped from 21 percent to 19 percent.
This gave the Vice President a net satisfaction rating of “neutral” +1, down from “moderate” +24 in the previous survey.
The net satisfaction rating is the rounded-off difference between those who said they are satisfied and dissatisfied with the performance of a particular government official.
Meanwhile, the performance rating of Senate President Vicente Sotto III, who is running for vice president, increased from “very good” +46 (60 percent satisfied, 14 percent dissatisfied) in September 2021 to “excellent” +52 (65 percent satisfied, 14 percent dissatisfied) in December 2021.
Speaker Lord Allan Velasco had a performance rating of “neutral” +5 (29 percent satisfied, 24 percent dissatisfied), down from “neutral” +8 (30 percent satisfied, 22 percent dissatisfied) in September 2021.
Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo’s rating increased from a “neutral” +2 (23 percent satisfied, 21 percent dissatisfied) to a “neutral” +7 (26 percent satisfied, 20 percent dissatisfied) in the latest survey.
SWS had earlier released a separate report on the net satisfaction ratings of President Duterte, which rose from “very good” +52 (67 percent satisfied, 15 percent dissatisfied) to “very good” +60 (74 percent satisfied, 15 percent dissatisfied).
The SWS fourth-quarter survey had 1,440 adult respondents and a margin of error of +/-2.6 percent for the national percentages.
