MANILA, Philippines — 150 Filipinos have arrived in Manila from Ukraine, the Department of Foreign Affairs said on Friday.
In a Twitter post, Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Sarah Arriola said the department has assisted a total of 309 Filipinos to exit Ukraine—159 have been evacuated out of Ukraine.

Earlier this week, the department ordered the mandatory evacuation of Filipinos in Ukraine after raising Alert Level 4 “due to the deteriorating security situation that threatens the safety of Filipinos in that country.”
“The DFA also notes the possible establishment of humanitarian corridors that would allow evacuees to exit Ukraine through its borders with Moldova and Romania,” the DFA said in its March 7 public advisory.
The department said the Philippine Embassy in Poland and the Rapid Response Team will be providing assistance to the Filipinos in Ukraine for repatriation and relocation.
United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Commissioner Filippo Grandi on Friday said refugees from Ukraine reached 2.5 million, while around two million are displaced inside the war-torn country.
The number of refugees from Ukraine — tragically — has reached today 2.5 million.
