MANILA, Philippines — In a rare show of a unified stand, political leaders in Masbate have set aside their rivalries to rally their constituents and support the presidential and vice presidential bids of Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte.

Gov. Antonio Kho led the signing of a manifesto of support to dramatize their commitment as Marcos visited the province on Saturday for a caravan and grand rally.

Joining Marcos in the motorcade were political rivals Kho and Partido Federal ng Pilipinas provincial chairman Ruben Jude Lim, who both opted to support the Marcos-Duterte UniTeam.

At the grand rally, Lim said the province must unite for Marcos and support his advocacy of a unifying leadership to effect change and progress in the province and the country.

Kho also declared Marcos and Duterte as their candidates in the upcoming election, saying he could set aside their political differences to support the tandem.
