MANILA, Philippines — Supreme Court Associate Justice Marvic Leonen yesterday urged Bar examinees to “just chill” and “do not panic” before their 2020-2021 Bar Examinations on Feb. 4 and 6.
Leonen also reminded them to read carefully the adjusted guidelines for the examinations.
“Chill. Do Not Panic,” Leonen said on his twitter account as he stressed that necessary documents for the Bar examinations will be emailed to examinees in due time.
“Make the best use of the remaining days. Study well, eat well, sleep well and make peace with your faiths. #BestBarEver2020_21,” he said.
Leonen also warned, for the last time, against posting the notice of admission of Bar examinees in any form, whether on social media or not, as it constitutes a violation of the law and is covered by the commitments under the Honor Code.
In a six-page Bar bulletin, Leonen said there are some clarifications on the COVID-19 protocols in all local testing centers for the 2020-2021 Bar Examinations formulated after consulting with the Department of Health and 23 local government units (LGUs).
The rules were discussed in different subjects such as those governing examinees, both vaccinated and not; special rules for examinees who contracted COVID-19 within the month before Feb. 4, the first day of the Bar examinations, among others.
For general rules, Leonen said fully vaccinated examinees are required to obtain a negative antigen test result within 48 hours before 4 a.m. of Feb. 4, unless the LGUs where the testing centers will be held prescribed an earlier testing date.
