Storm-free first week of 2022 – Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — The first week of 2022 will be typhoon-free, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
PAGASA yesterday said there is no weather disturbance expected to enter or form within the Philippine area of responsibility in the next three days.
But the shear line will continue to bring rains over the Visayas and Northern Mindanao.
Scattered rains and thunderstorms are expected over the Visayas, Davao Region, Caraga and Northern Mindanao.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides during moderate or at times heavy rains.
The weather bureau said the northeast monsoon would continue to affect most of Northern Luzon while cloudy skies and light rains would prevail over Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Aurora and Quezon.
Fair weather is expected over Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon but the northeast monsoon may bring isolated light rains.
PAGASA said localized thunderstorms are expected over the rest of Mindanao, with flashfloods or landslides possible during severe thunderstorms.
Temperatures in Metro Manila will range between 23 and 30 degrees Celsius.
