MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang released yesterday the list of regular holidays and special non-working days for 2022.

Under Proclamation 1236, the regular holidays next year are New Year’s Day (Jan. 1), Araw ng Kagitingan (April 9), Maundy Thursday (April 14), Good Friday (April 15), Labor Day (May 1), Independence Day (June 12), National Heroes’ Day (Aug. 29), Bonifacio Day (Nov. 30), Christmas Day (Dec. 25) and Rizal Day (Dec. 30).

The special non-working days are the Chinese New Year (Feb. 1), EDSA People Power Revolution Anniversary (Feb. 25), Black Saturday (April 16), Ninoy Aquino Day (Aug. 21), All Saints’ Day (Nov. 1) and Feast of the Immaculate Conception (Dec. 8).

The proclamation also declared All Souls’ Day (Nov. 2), Christmas Eve (Dec. 24) and the last day of the year (Dec. 31) as special working days.

“The Department of Labor and Employment shall promulgate the implementing guidelines for this proclamation,” it said.
