MANILA, Philippines — In keeping with its commitment of 100 Days of Caring for the holiday season, the employees and management of SM Prime Holdings Inc. (SMPH) donated their P2.5-million Christmas party fund to different charities serving the underprivileged.

“SM Prime’s employees give as one family to underserved communities in these challenging times. It has been a difficult year and we hope to give what we can to as many charities so different sectors can all have a meaningful Christmas,” said SM Prime executive director and president Jeffrey Lim.

The donation drive is a project of SMPH and its units and subsidiaries, namely SM Development Corp. (SMDC), SM Offices, SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. (SMHCC) and SM Supermalls including SM Cinema, and SM Lifestyle and Family Entertainment Company Inc. (FECI).

SMPH provided financial support to the social and humanitarian causes of its media partners including The Philippine STAR, Philippine Daily Inquirer, Manila Bulletin, ABS-CBN and GMA to reach more communities this holiday season apart from those being served by SM Cares and SM Foundation.

SM Supermalls president Steven Tan and SMDC president Jose Mari Banzon led the turnover of donations to Miguel Belmonte, president/CEO of Philippine STAR and Lucien Dytioco, SVP.
