MANILA, Philippines — The truck ban in Metro Manila will resume tomorrow, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said, after the national government placed the region under the more relaxed general community quarantine until the end of the month.

In a statement posted on its official Facebook page, the MMDA said trucks would be banned along major thoroughfares of Metro Manila from Monday to Saturday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., and from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Along EDSA, trucks are totally banned from the Magallanes interchange in the city of Makati to North Avenue in Quezon City daily.

However, trucks that carry perishables and agricultural produce are exempted from the ban.

Meanwhile, the city government of Makati said its modified number coding scheme has resumed.

The number coding scheme would run every weekday, except holidays.

Cars with two or more people are exempted from the modified number coding.

However, for the whole of Metro Manila, the number coding scheme of the MMDA is still suspended until further notice.
