MANILA, Philippines Heeding the directive of Philippine Health Insurance Corp. president Dante Gierran, 43 ranking PhilHealth officials have opted to retire or resign from their posts.

PhilHealth reported that 27 senior officers have tendered their resignation while 16 others opted for retirement as of last night.
