MANILA, Philippines — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) yesterday announced the postponement of 15 remaining licensure examinations scheduled for 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In an advisory, the PRC said the remaining examinations will no longer be held in October, November and December.
“Due to government imposed restrictions and other unforeseeable circumstances because of extended community quarantines and to ensure the health and safety of PRC examinees, professional regulatory boards and examination personnel, the conduct of the scheduled October to December 2020 licensure examinations is hereby postponed,” the PRC noted.
Postponed are the licensure examinations for Architects (Oct. 30-Nov. 1); Midwives (Nov. 8-9); Civil Engineers (Nov. 15-16); Aeronautical Engineers (Nov. 17-19); Geologists (Nov. 17-19); Nurses (Nov. 22-23) and Criminologists (Nov. 29-Dec. 1).
Also shelved are the Dental Hygienists Licensure Examination – Written (Nov. 24); Dental Hygienists Licensure Examination – Practical (Nov. 25); Dentists Licensure Examination – Written (Dec. 2-4); Dentists Licensure Examination – Practical (Dec. 15-22); Dental Technologists Licensure Examination – Written (Dec. 7); Dental Technologists Licensure Examination – Practical (Dec. 8-9); Licensure Examination for Radiologic Technologists and X-ray Technologists (Dec. 10-11), and Licensure Examination for Pharmacists (Dec. 13-14).
These examinations will be rescheduled to 2021, the PRC said.
