MANILA, Philippines (Updated July 10, 2020, 12:37 p.m.) — The House of Representatives committee on legislative franchises and committee on good government and public accountability have to wrapped up the hearings on the renewal of ABS-CBN's legislative franchise.
Rep. Carlos Zarate (Bayan Muna Party-list) gave the summation of the authors of the bills seeking to grant the broadcast giant a 25-year franchise while Rep. Rodante Marcoleta (Sagip Party-list) delivered the summation of the opposing side.
Members of the House committee on legislative franchises will meet at 1 p.m. on July 10 to discuss the draft of the technical working group's report on ABS-CBN's application for franchise.
