Hot and hotter in Metro Manila
MANILA, Philippines — The temperature in Metro Manila hit 37.3 degrees Celsius yesterday, the hottest recorded so far this year.
This was recorded at the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) Science Garden in Quezon City at 2:45 p.m. Meanwhile, the state weather bureau said the Philippines registered on Monday its hottest temperature since 2018.
The temperature hit 40 degrees Celsius in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, PAGASA reported yesterday.
It’s still a couple of degrees shy of the country’s hottest recorded temperature at 42.2 degrees Celsius, which was also experienced in Tuguegarao City on May 11, 1969.
