Woman jogs along empty MRT-3 track

MANILA, Philippines — A woman was seen jogging along the elevated tracks of the Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) in a video uploaded on YouTube last Wednesday.

The woman was seen jogging toward the Shaw Boulevard station of the rail line, whose operations have been suspended since the start of the Luzon-wide enhanced community quarantine on March 17. Midway, she slowed down to a walk and cooled down between the northbound and southbound tracks.

The MRT-3 said in a statement that it investigated the video and later learned the woman was a “security guard of Kaizen Security Agency stationed at the MRT-3 Ortigas station.”

The rail line management said jogging along the tracks is “prohibited and will not be tolerated” and urged the security agency to reprimand the guard.

The MRT-3 said it will continue maintenance work on its trains and other facilities with a skeleton staff.
