MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon Hanna exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility early Friday morning, PAGASA said, and was 645 kilometers north northeast of Basco, Batanes as of 4 a.m.
Although storm signals have been lifted, PAGASA says there will be moderate to heavy monsoon rains in the following areas:
- Ilocos Region
- Cordillera Administrative Region
- Batanes
- Babuyan Group of Islands
- Zambales
- Bataan
- Occidental Mindoro
- Northern portions of Palawan (including Calamian Islands)
PAGASA says light to moderate with intermittent heavy monsoon rains will prevail over Metro Manila, Western Visayas, and the rest of CALABARZON, Central Luzon, and MIMAROPA.
Aside from the rain, PAGASA says gusty conditions will continue over most of Luzon and Visayas due to the enhanced southwest monsoon.
Classes have been suspended in some areas, particularly in Metro Manila, in anticipation of bad weather.
