After 2 weeks, oil prices up again

MANILA, Philippines — Petroleum companies are raising pump prices today after two straight weeks of price rollbacks.

In separate advisories, oil firms said they would increase gasoline prices by P0.90 per liter, diesel by P0.80 and kerosene by P0.75.

Eastern Petroleum, Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp., Petro Gazz, Seaoil Philippines, PTT Philippines and Total said the price hikes would be implemented starting at 6 a.m.

Other oil companies have yet to announce their price adjustments.

Tensions in the Middle East pushed up global crude prices during the past trading week.

Two Saudi Arabian oil tankers were attacked off the coast of the United Arab Emirates, Reuters reported.
