MANILA, Philippines— The Manila International Airport Authority confirmed that a grass fire occurred at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 on Thursday morning.
The MIAA said the fire was reported at around 8:55 a.m.
The authorities then sent four fire trucks from the MIAA Fire and Rescue department to put out the the blaze incident.
The fire was declared out by 10:23 a.m.
According to the initial unofficial report of the MIAA, the combustion was caused by a leaking grass-cutting equipment.
The authorities are now probing the fire incident to confirm if the initial report is true.
The MIAA said no flights were disrupted by the incident. —Rosette Adel
