MANILA, Philippines — Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat said they would be meeting with Miss Universe Catriona Gray for a possible collaboration to promote Philippine tourist destinations.

Puyat said the meeting with Gray is slated next week.

“Next week, we will be meeting with her so we will be discussing how we can collaborate with each other,” Puyat said during the launch of the refreshed “It’s More Fun in the Philippines” campaign.

Puyat cited that they previously worked with the 25-year-old beauty queen who hails from Albay when she was still competing for Miss Universe.

Gray earlier released three tourism videos featuring the heritage and culture of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. She also promoted Intramuros, Yolanda-hit areas in Eastern Visayas as well as South Cotabato.

The Miss Universe also released a video highlighting the beauty of the islands of Iloilo.

“She’s really been promoting our country,” Puyat said.

The tourism chief and Gray met last December after the latter won at the 67th Miss Universe pageant held in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Filipina-Australia beauty queen returned to the country on Saturday and would be having grand homecoming events this week.
