MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo suffered a seven-point drop in her net satisfaction rating in the last quarter of 2018, according to a Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.

Fifty-three percent of the respondents were satisfied with Robredo’s performance while 26 percent were dissatisfied, resulting in a net satisfaction score of moderate +27 based on the nationwide poll taken from Dec. 16 to 19 last year.

It stayed moderate in Metro Manila, although down by seven points from +23 in September to +16 in December.

It stayed good in Mindanao, although down by three points from +34 to +31.

However, it went up by nine points in the Visayas from +39 to +48, both classified as good.

Robredo’s net satisfaction rating declined in all socio-economic classes, the SWS said.

It fell from good +33 to moderate +26 in class D. It stayed good in class E, although down by two points from +48 to +46. It stayed neutral in class ABC, despite dropping two points from +2 in September to net zero in December.

Tito Sotto’s rating up

Senate President Vicente Sotto enjoyed a six-point increase in his net satisfaction rating.

Seventy-two percent of Filipinos expressed satisfaction with his work against 11 percent who were dissatisfied for a net satisfaction score of +61 from +55, both classified as good.

Sotto’s net satisfaction rating rose from good +41 to very good +55 in Mindanao. It also improved from good +49 to very good +60 in the Visayas. It stayed very good in Luzon, although down by two points from +65 in September to +63 in December.

His rating stayed very good in class E, up by eight points from +53 to +61. It also stayed very good in class D, from +56 in September to +62 in December. It stayed good in class ABC, from +40 to +46.

Gloria Arroyo gets ‘poor’ rating

Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo’s net satisfaction rating fell from “neutral” to “poor.”

The survey showed a 17-point drop in Arroyo’s rating from a neutral -4 in September to poor -21 (28 percent satisfied and 49 percent dissatisfied).

Net satisfaction with the former president dropped 23 points from neutral +8 to poor -15 in the Visayas.

It also fell from neutral -3 to poor -22 in Mindanao.

Her net satisfaction score plunged from neutral -4 to poor -17 in balance Luzon.

It likewise fell from poor -25 to bad -36 in Metro Manila.

Compared to September 2018, Arroyo’s net satisfaction rating fell in all socio-demographics, except among class ABC, the SWS said.

It fell from neutral -4 to poor -22 in class D. It also decreased from neutral -3 to poor -18 in class E.

Net satisfaction with Arroyo stayed poor in class ABC, despite increasing by six points from +40 in September to +46 in December.

Chief Justice Lucas Bersamin, who was included for the first time in the survey, obtained a net satisfaction rating of moderate +11, with 36 percent saying they were satisfied with his performance and 25 dissatisfied.

By area, net satisfaction with Bersamin was highest in balance Luzon at moderate +17, followed by the Visayas at moderate +12, Metro Manila at neutral +9 and Mindanao at neutral +3.

By class, the Chief Justice’s net satisfaction rating was highest in class ABC at good +39, followed by class E at moderate +12, and class D at neutral +9.
